Our story, in a nutshell.
OrgHealth began in 1995 as STRIVE!, born out of a shared frustration with the lack of practical leadership resources for boards of directors. From the beginning, our focus was simple: bring practical, effective wisdom to leaders who are genuinely committed to change.
Over the years, we expanded our focus to executive teams as well. We became the Canadian consulting partners of The Table Group, and continue to value Patrick Lencioni's thought leadership to this day.
In 2006, The Imperfect Board Member by Jim Brown quickly became a governance bestseller, reaching #2 on Amazon's business category. It remains one of the top governance books of all time, with over 80,000 copies sold. A new 20th anniversary edition is being released in September 2026.
In 2020, amidst the many changes taking place both in the world and our company, we rebranded as OrgHealth to reflect what we had already become: a firm singularly focused on organizational health. Shortly after, we developed the Ascent Model—our proprietary framework for understanding and building healthy organizations—and released the Ascent Assessment for Teams to give executive teams a practical tool for measuring where they are and charting a path forward.
